The Chandelier is a large geoglyph located on the Paracas Peninsula. It dates back approximately 2,500 years, and its appearance is a mystery. Researchers have tried to explain its origin, but it is not known exactly why it was created; one theory states that it was created by order of General José de San Martín as a Masonic symbol, another hypothesis says that it is a representation of the San Pedro Cactus used for sacred rituals, in the time of ancient cultures such as the Paracas, Nazca, Incas and other cultures.
The dimensions of this geoglyph are: 170 meters long and 78 meters wide. To see this figure, you must take a tour to the Ballestas Islands, on the way we will make a stop to be able to observe this important figure.
